The duo of Burna Boy and Wizkid, two of Nigeria’s major musicians, have declared South African rapper Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, better known by his stage name Nasty C, the best rapper in Africa and a favourite respectively.
Wizkid, who was recently declared the hottest pop star in Africa, was in the comment section of an Instagram post by London-based Nigerian On-Air personality (OAP) Shopsydoo.
It was not the first though that the Ciroc ambassador had shown admiration for Nasty C or even commended his skills and talent. Way back in late July, Wizkid had described him in the following words on Twitter: “U da coldest my G.”
Rapper Burna Boy was also in the comment section and endorsed Nasty C in the following words: “Officially my favourite rapper.”
This is no side chatter, though, as Nasty C has already proven he is lyrical prodigy. And with his “Strings and Bling” album doing excellently well, one cannot doubt the kind of talent Junior has.
It may be recalled that five months ago, in March, top Nigerian rapper and culture authority M.I Abaga had during an interview with the Basement Gig described Nasty C, alongside Cassper Nyovest, Poe, Ghost Khaligraph as among the finest rappers right now in Africa.
This points to one thing, which is that Nasty C has been rising and rising. The rapper, who is currently in the United States, had an audience with American rap legend 50 Cent.
As well as scoring features with MTV and TRL, he was also hosted by Sway of “Sway in the Morning.”
He was also on EBRO and spoke about his “bad hair” experience, and did a freestyle on Hot 97, rapping about having a demo in his garage and an angel on his bed. And it was obvious his hosts were enamoured with him. Who wouldn’t be? The freestyle was a smash.
Not only did Nasty C charm his hosts in the States, he also charmed his own people back him including “Tito Mboweni” hitmaker Cassper Nyovest, who took to Twitter to show his pride in Nasty C
He tweeted: “How could you not be proud ?”
Well, everyone is proud of Nasty C, who has apparently achieved so much at only 21 years old.
It was transporting indeed to also receive encouraging words from top Canadian rapper Tory Lanez. Nasty C has shared snippet of a song on Instagram and then asked, “Who should I get on this?”
Tory Lanez responded in the following words: “Hard bro keep going. !!”
Nasty C’s song snippet and the caption obviously indicate there is a window for a collabo.
We will not be surprised to see Nasty C and Tory Lanez collaborating. One thing is clear, though – If Nasty C and Tory Lanez should collaborate, the result would be a smash hit.
We can’t wait to see this happen.
