While Cassper Nyovest’s record-breaking feat with the #FillUpFNBStadium is yet to properly sink in, the “Tito Mboweni“ hitmaker himself has highlighted the massive costs incurred in pulling off such an impressive show.
Boy! it did not come cheap.
In a sit-down with DJ Sbu on DJ Sbu Breakfast on Massiv Metro recently. Cassper Nyovest briefly broke down the actual cost of the stadium which he put at around R900,000, even after having to fight for the date.
That offer also comes with the contractΒ for the stadium, insurance, security and the rest which brings the fee up to around R2million.
The “Thuto“ rapper informed his is always looking to better his own exploits and invested around R5million on the stage alone. This also comes with the costs required to fly in the engineers from Cape Town to build the stage.
That’s not all. Cassper also talked about the bill of the artists who supported at the event coming up to another R500,000. However, he mentioned some friends in the industry were happy to support and perform for free such as A-Reece and Somizi.
With this revelation, it is little surprise the Doc Shebeleza considered putting his luxurious cars up for sale when he faced challenges scoring a major sponsor for the event.
Overall, Cassper Nyovest proves to be light years ahead of his generation with the success of the #FillUpFNBStadium. Since they say nothing good comes easy, this disclosure can only inspire and motivate the rest of us.
