One SA Hip Hop veteran who never fails to flaunt on his clout and status is Tumi Molekana, now famously known as Stogie T. Having paid his dues on the circuit, he recently took the bragging rights to new heights; using the celebrated DJ Black Coffee as a leverage.
When a comment was made in a recent interview about Stogie T’s reputation for travelling, the rapper boasted of how no one besides Nkosinathi Innocent Maphmulo, better known as Black Coffee was the only one in his “class” when it comes to touring.
The lyricist took it a notch higher when he bragged about having performed at the Apollo Theater about 5 years ago, while Black Coffee only achieved the same feat this year.
“I’d like to say he finally caught up, you know he did the Apollo, I did Apollo about 5 years ago,” Stogie T said.
Born in exile in Tanzania to South African parents, Stogie T is known for his debut album, Music from My Good Eye, which is regarded by many as one of SA Hip Hop’s finest projects of all times.
