Aha! They got him! Yeah, peeps, it has been announced that celebrated disc jockey DJ Black Coffee will on be live on stage at the Global Citizen Festival on Sunday December 2.
Black Coffee is the latest addition to the lineup for the festival. The Festival organizers took to their verified Twitter account to make the announcement. “It can’t get any better, right? WRONG! DJ and songwriter @RealBlackCoffee is joining the lineup for Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100. Sunday cannot come fast enough!” Their tweet reads.
Black Coffee will join Mzansi stars such as Sho Madjozi, Cassper Nyovest and Nomzamo Mbatha. Others are Usher, Chris Martin, Ed Sheeran, Pharrell Williams, and Nigeria’s Wizkid.
Black Coffee, who released “Mixing DJ Sessions (17-11-2018)” and his “Music Is King” EP recently, is not a newbie in the world of collaborations with the world’s music heavyweights. He had earlier released “Drive” in collaboration with David Guetta and Delilah Montagu.
Other notable collaborations are with Drake and Alicia Keys, whose husband Swizz Beatz had informed Black Coffee earlier that Jay Z needed him (Black Coffee) to record a song for his (Jay Z’s) “4:44” album.
But at that point, as Black Coffee said to Metro FM: “I wasn’t ready.”
He is ready, for the Global Citizen Festival, though. Mzansi is in a fever of anticipation and just can’t wait to see the celebrated DJ perform.
Black Coffee’s joining the lineup has been greeted with rapture. The excitement is simmering. See some reactions below and share your thoughts in the comment section
