Self-styled King of South Africa Hip Hop, Cassper Nyovest made history over the weekend with the success of his #FillUpFNBStadium. With all the praises coming the way of the “Thuto“ hitmaker, is one from an unlikely source – his fiercest rival, AKA.
SupaMega took to social media platform, Twitter, to applaudΒ theΒ Doc Shebeleza’sΒ feat with just one word – Powerful – as well as the now iconic image of the “Tito Mboweni“ rapper overlooking a sea of fans and illumination from their mobile devices.
It will be recalled that AKA offered to #FillUpFNBStadium with Cassper at the time the latter was inching closer to glory.
In fact, that offer had generated so much buzz that many fans had pleaded with the Doc Shebeleza to give SupaMega a chance. Others just immediately dismissed that offer as AKA trying share as well as ride on Cassperβs glory.
However, a word in this case is worth more than a thousand words and the post has now gone viral with over 1,7k comments, 14k Retweets and 38k likes. Trust some fans as well to query AKA‘s sincerity or if it was all about the publicity.
Whichever way, we hope it is the begining of a mutual respect between these high-flyers on South Africa’s competitive Hip Hop circuit. What do you think of AKA‘s Cassper applause? Real or fake?
