Abuse is real, and it is especially common in South Africa. “Dance Comigo” crooner Kelly Khumalo has rekindled the debate on abuse (in South Africa) when she uploaded to her Instagram page an image of her battered face.
She was in a previous relationship then, and, according to her, her son Christian was just a couple of months old. She went on to advise women to get out of abusive relationships as soon as they can, and then shut the doors to their abusers.
“My son was only a couple of months when this happened to me, get out while you still can, close all doors possible and NEVER look back. It only gets worse… #16DaysOfActivism2018 #UNLEASHED👑” She wrote on her verified Instagram page.
Abuse of women, even those who qualify as celebrities, isn’t new. It has been around a long time and many rue the fact that the system seems to shield abusers.
Another is actress Letoya Makhene, who spoke out years ago about in an abusive relationship, which she later quit.
Women in abusive relationships ae advised to quit immediately and report cases of abuse to the police and other authorities. Abuse can lead to death. Best to sacrifice a relationship than your life.
By the way, at the moment, Kelly Khumalo is in a sizzling relationship with Chad Da Don. We just hope things turn out well for her relationship this time.
