PRO may have been dead and buried, but his legacy certainly isn’t stuttering. No, no, no.
Mzansi is awash with eulogy and it seems it will not abate soon.
Every important musical voice has one fond memory or the other of the “Dankie San” hitmaker.
He was more like a mentor and big brother to her, and he was also the elder brother of her boyfriend Sandile Mkhize, better known by his stage name DJ Citi Lyts.
PRO, who died August 8, was buried on Sunday August 18, with associates and celebrities in attendance.
Gigi Lamayne, who recently lent her voice in support of the gay rights movement in the song “One and the Same,” featuring Allofit, dropped her last words to PRO in an Instagram post after the burial.
She wrote: “Till we meet again Biggie. Lil Kim signing out ….. fin.”
Those words may well be in the thoughts of other ProKid fans as well, although they may not have articulated it. Especially since the passing seems to have hit Gigi Lamayne the hardest judging by the series of Tweets she sent out immediately after the unfortunate news broke.
The words best sum the exit of the star. Sure, till we meet again, PRO! Rest in peace.
