“Vur Vai” hitmaker Kwesta finally got to bring American rap icon Rick Ross to South Africa. This was promise made and promise fulfilled on Kwesta’s part. He can do it, although he is no Patrice Motsepe.
Rick Ross flew in to South Africa to join Kwesta for the #HeinekeExperience and of course to shoot the music video of their collaboration titled “Kuhambani.”
Kwesta did not just meet the pop legend. He took Rick Ross to meet his mum. It was a pleasant meeting, an epic moment as Mama Kwesta posed for pictures with her hands on the waists of both rappers.
The pictures began to trend in South Africa almost immediately, with some of the country’s top artistes commenting on them. For “Fela in Versace” hitmaker AKA, the pictures are nothing short of epic. “This is epic. @kwestadakar 🇿🇦 We love you bro. 👑” AKA wrote on Instagram.
Somehow, some fans tried to drag “Tito Mboweni” hitmaker Cassper Nyovest into the mix. “@CassperNyovest imagine if it was you who brought Rick Ross to Mzansi? The noise ” tweeted a fan who goes by the handle @cyber_guru.
But Cassper Nyovest brushed that aside, commenting that he had done things the country couldn’t imagine and that Kwesta should be congratulated for a dope moment. “My dude, I’ve done things my country couldn’t imagine. Just congratulate Kwesta for a dope moment and leave me out of it. It’s all love round here.”
It is Kwesta’s moment indeed, and bringing Rick Ross to South Africa is one of his biggest career moves this year. Or what do you think? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
