One of South Africa’s most successful disc jockeys and producers, DJ Shimza is asking for leads in hopes of recovering his stolen Mercedes G63.
The “Rumble” mastermind took to social media platform, Twitter, on Monday to inform his army of loyal fans and supporters of the unfortunate event as well as for help in getting his wonder on wheels back home.
“My car has been stolen out of my garage from Blue Valley Golf Estates in Centurion, license plate FN 23 MB GP, please contact @sapoliceservice or call 0732568494 should you have any information that may lead to recovery of the car 🙏🏾”
Regarded as one of South Africa’s most successful DJs, Shimza has also been at the forefront amongst industry players taking South African music unto international frontiers.
The Mercedes G63 is said to retail for around R2,5-million and R3-million.
Midrand police spokesperson sergeant Matome Tlamela confirmed to TshisaLIVE that a case of housebreaking and theft had been opened at the Midrand police station by the DJ’s helper.
However, she also informed of plans to transfer the case to Olievenhoutbosch since the unfortunate incident happened at Blue Valey Golf Estate.
“I can confirm that a case was opened on Monday night by the helper, so the helper is the complainant. They reported housebreaking and theft. The incident happened at Blue Valley so the case will have to be transferred to the Olievenhoutbosch branch because that is their jurisdiction.” she stated.
While several fans have been sympathetic to the cause of Shimza, some fans aren’t bulging as they believe the show-off attitude of the DJ as with several other entertainers to be the reason for the theft in the first place.
Some also think it is an inside job since Shimza lives in an estate, others have simply resurrected his long-running feud with Prince Kaybee.
