Media personality, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, DJ Sbu is taking legal action against an entity aiming to scam people of their money by claiming to have a cure for HIV/AIDS using his image.
For years, Sbusiso Leope has built one of the most solid brands in the world of South African entertainment, business and even social causes. This way, he refuses to let disgruntled individuals soil the name and brand he has worked so hard to build.
The Mofaya boss took to social media platform, Twitter, to call the attention of fans to those who were hell bent on taken advantage of him.
DJ Sbu revealed he has taken legal action against the sellers of the medicine and has been advised by his legal team not to say anything further at this time.
The statement reads:
“SCAM ALERT!!! Guys this is what I mean when I always say build your own brands before you up desperate & doing such nonsense with other people’s brands.
I am extremely disappointed at how our brothers and sisters are taking short cuts to make money while being predators of our brands we have worked so hard to build.
I work very hard daily building @mofaya_official , our radio station
@massivmetro and our entrepreneurship school @HustlersAcademysa collectively employing and training 100 young South Africans.
It is a disappointment to be taken advantage of in such a manner. I have taken legal action against the perpetrators and I have been advised by my legal team to not say anything further.”
