Their deal with Mampintsha’s West Ink went south, with allegations of unpaid royalties breaking freely on Mampintsha’s head. The pair of Que and Goldmax of Gqom band Distruction Boyz have since decided to move on.
At the moment, the “Generator” masterminds have nicked a deal with Echo Location Talent Agency. The agency now handles everything concerning the group: bookings, sponsorships, etc.
“We’re happy to announce that we’re now represented by Echo Location Talent Worldwide,” the group announced on its Instagram page.Source: Distruction Boyz/ Instagram
The duo, who failed to catch heat during Metro FM’s heatwave in Kimberly last year, began the year as features (alongside DJ Tira and Prince Bulo) on Vanessa Mdee’s “That’s For Me.”
Ironically, Distruction Boyz, who now rule the waves as one of the most exciting acts on South Africa’s Gqom scene, had a hard time convincing their parents that they (Distruction Boyz) were called to make music and would succeed at it. Their parents’ opinions have since changed. Hey, It Was All A Dream.
We congratulate Distruction Boyz on this milestone and hope they continue to excite the nation with their songs.
