Apparently their stories are similar. They both came from humble backgrounds. They have both being musical unknowns but with boundless faith in their abilities and the beauty of the future.
While Cassper Nyovest has lit South Africa’s music space with hits such as “I Wasn’t Ready For You,” “Titi Mboweni,” “Ksazobalit” and several others, Shatta Wale has done the same with scorchers as “Real Bad Man,” “Mechanism,” “Testimony,” “Ginger,” “Aye (Witch)” and several others.
Shatta Wale recently dedicated his mixtape to the South African music maestro. The mixtape, interestingly, is titled “Cassper Nyovest.”
Shatta Wale took to Twitter and made the following dedicatory note: “BIG RESPECT TO @CassperNyovest…EVERY SOUTH AFRICAN PRETTY GIRL SAYS YOUR STORY IS JUST LIKE MINE..I DID THIS FOR YOU..SM YOU READY…!!! PAAA PAAA PAAA PAAA.. SHATTA WALE – @CassperNyovest (link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/ry2366w728eabpe/casper_nyovest.mp3/fileTHE) mediafire.com/file/ry2366w72… NYOVEST MIXTAPE #UNITEDAFRICA !!”
A delighted Mufasa, who had told Sound City back in March this year that he has a lot of respect for the Ghanaian, responded: “Crazy. A whole song ? By a prominent artist in a whole different country? I am honored. Blessing bro.”
The dedication will certainly cement the bond between the duo. It is safe to say a collaboration may well be on the way. Well, what do you think? Share your thoughts with us in the comment section.
