Big Star joins Warner Music; set to release ‘Sgubu’ featuring Kwesta this Friday

SA playmaker, has become the latest big name act to join South Africa. He is set to immediately repay the faith of the global imprint with a new single titled “Sgubu” this Friday.

South Africa announced the new partnership via its official Twitter handle:

South Africa is proud to welcome @BigStar_Live Johnson Live to our stable. He drops his brand new single ‘Sgubu’ this Friday and it features the one and only @KwestaDaKAR!”

The Vuzu Hustle alumni joins a list of fine and talented artists such as Locnville and Zahara amongst others under the Warner Music South Africa umbrella.

The Warner Music Group is an American multinational entertainment and record label conglomerate headquartered in New York City and boasts of such global superstars as Ed Sheeran, Linkin Park and Jason Derulo, just to mention a few.

With the ink yet to dry on his signature, also highlighted the heights he hopes this new deal takes him as he also released the tracklist for his upcoming album.

For now, we know the upcoming project has got 12 confirmed tracks with features of Kwesta, Kaylow, Rouge, Jay Claude and The Dreamers, already certified.

“The basic concept around this album is “One Weekend” in my life and all the things and thoughts that go down in that one weekend. All I ask is that you listen ?? #MeAndMines” Tweeted.
