Babes Wodumo pays tribute to Tipcee

Who says rivalries in the South African music industry cannot be settled to birth a new world of bromance or even sisterhood?

This fact looks to be holding true and playing out right now between Gqom stars, and , who both looks to have mended fences after a rough start.

At some point, the damsels couldn’t even stand each other and many will remember the secret recording of the latter against the former going viral in the past.

Time does heal all wounds and asides from the fact that they recently featured together on the hit song titled “Umcimbi Wethu,” and have also now become sisters in crime.

This is because they were both recently charged of assault alongside Babes’ sister, Nondumiso Simelane after an argument erupted at a guesthouse in the Umbilo area in KZN.

It was also reported that was one of the first callers at the scene to comfort Babes after her alleged assault at the hands of her estranged boyfriend, Mampintsha earlier this year.

To this length and extents, the Gqom Queen took to social media platform, Instagram, to pour encomiums on her ‘second sister’ in an emotional post.

“People have tried to get between us but little did we know we can get this far. You are my second sister, friend and comforter,” she started.

She would go on to reveal how Tipcee calls and texts to check up on her on a daily basis and had her back through her darkest periods even when others turned their backs.

“Every day you call, text, WhatsApp me just check up on me and that means more than you can imagine.”

“Even after the whole drama, you were there. You even came wearing pyjamas ? because you always make sure I’m okay and I’m alright.”

“Some people may turn their backs on me but I know you will never ever even consider that. Ngikuthanda f*cked up and, yes, we are gonna rock this world more than before.”
