We love our celebs almost as much as we love ourselves and it hurts us to discover that something bad ever happened to them. The “Thandwa Ndim” hit maker’s recent revelation while in an interview with Pearl Thusi on “Behind The Story” tore through the hearts of her fans.
According to the “Amazulu” singer, she has been exploited in the music industry and that has caused her bouts of depression that she’s had to go through. Her story has saddened the most of us including her fans who have bashed the industry for their ill treatment of artistes.
Speaking on the show, Amanda Black opened up about her time at Ambitiouz Entertainment and all she had to go through while she was there. She also talked about her split from the label and all that happened after that.
She’s quoted saying,
“It’s been three years since I’ve released (my debut album) and it’s just been so crazy. It’s been rough. It’s been dark and it’s been really, really incredibly hard. Especially because I have battled with, I don’t want to say depression, but I battled with really, really low days, more than I can count, where they just kept on going and it was like they were never-ending.”
The singer once made the news after she supported rapper Emtee when he announced he wanted his awards back from the label on social media.
Fans of the singer have reacted to the revelation and called out the music industry; especially now that she says she feels lighter after making the revelation.
