“Fela in Versace” crooner AKA, who had a discussion with his fans in late December 2018 over the negativity directed towards him, had an eventful 2018.
He would go on to write this year that 2018 was a challenging year for him. By the way, 2018 was the year he went platinum with his album “Touch My Blood,” without the aid of the big names in the music industry.
AKA, who ended last year with a “drink war” with Cassper Nyovest who he had earlier invited to his roasting alongside Bonang Matheba, thanked his fans, as he could not have come this far without them. He would be going on holiday, he said, to recharge and get ready for the challenges the new year would thrust at him.
“Thank You. 2018 was definitely the most challenging, yet rewarding years of my life. I couldn’t have done it without you. I’m going to be taking a bit of a break from social media to go on holiday, and recharge for 2019. Once again, Thank You so much. I want you to know that in 2018 we did the damn thing. I hope all your dreams come true. ❤️” AKA wrote on his verified Instagram page.
He who has worked hard surely deserves to recharge hard, yes?
The fans would certainly be looking forward to his releases and he finishes recharging himself. He had made it clear months back that 2019 would be a year of collaborations.
We are waiting.
