Zakwe – IDOLS (A song dedicated to PRO)

SA Hip Hop prodigy, Zakwe is one who stayed connected with departed Hip Hop icon, PRO in his lifetime and one of the hardest hit by his demise. He has now dedicated a song to him and he titles it “IDOLS.”

Interestingly, “IDOLS” streamed off as the 20th and final track of Zakwe’s highly-successful “Cebisa” album; a project of musical art which ProKid himself featured on.

However, with the cold hands of death taking one fine act who made a world of contribution to the game and culture in South Africa, Zakwe now highlights the tributes in no uncertain terms.

On this one, the Itsotsi By Nature general waxed lyrical and emotional as he celebrated the life and achievements of Linda ‘PRO’ Mkhize.

They say we only have one life to live, but if we live it right, then just that once might be enough. PRO definitely did stamp his feet on the sands of time and will never be forgotten.

As the memorial service for PRO holds today, it is efforts such as this that will ensure he’ll remain in our hearts as one who came, saw and conquered.
