Styl Plus returns to the Nigerian music circuit with a vintage bang! Having been recently signed to Eskimo Records, they drop their debut single of resurgence under the label titled Aso Ibora. Aso Ibora simply refers to a blanket in Yoruba Language.
Styl Plus brings back the celestial vocals and it seems they never vacated the scene in the first place. Unfortunately, the duo of Zeal and Shifi return as the new face of the group without the influential Tunde, who has since gone solo.
For many years in the late 90s and early 2000s, Styl Plus were Nigeria’s most celebrated music group and they serenaded music fans with such hit songs including Olufunmi, Runaway, Call My Name and a host of other banging efforts.
Aso Ibora is another of such stunning love-inspired vibes and what better time to drop this effort? With the Valentine’s day celebration coming up, older couples can journey back through memory lane; while it gives the younger ones a chance to feel first-hand the musical prowess of the Styl Plus group of old.
This latest smash was produced by Blaq Jerzee, mixed and mastered by Zenno Foster, and with guitar strings by Fiokee. You’ve got to celebrate the resurgence of Style Plus – simply stream, download and share your thoughts and opinion in the comments section below.
