On “Long Distance”, Sarkodie documents the challenges inherent in long distance relationships in the eyes of Ghanaian expatriates. In particular, he references those who have made the trip across the shores of the African continent on a hustle to make a living, while leaving their loved ones behind.
“Long Distance” is a hiplife record and Sarkodie does offer a dose of valid and potent lyrical content. Making a reference to Canada; The “Mary” star sheds light on the pain, the tears, the sacrifices and suffering that comes with topic.
You definitely cannot fault the boss and “Long Distance” is surely going to help put things in perspective; while giving a better understanding to those who believe the grass is always greener on the other side of the pond.
