Original Ibadan Ambassador of Music, Qdot is back again with a stunning banger that he’s titled ‘Turn Up’. As usual, the ‘Alomo’crooner goes with the unique identity and niche he’s specially carved out for himself with a fusion of ‘ibile’ music and modern trends.
‘Turn Up’ comes with a totally jamming tune and beats that would summarise how Ibadan ‘bigz boyz’ and ‘bigz girlz’ would ordinarily ‘Turn Up’ in today’s world, but in the historical setting of the Oluyole city.
We don’t know about you but we’ve been jamming this banger ever since it dropped and can’t wait until our weekend ‘Turn Up’ to take it even to a whole new level. On the track, Qdot says he’s turning up right away and not even waiting till the weekend.
Yet again, Qdot fails to disappoint not only with his distinct voice and unique sound; but also the delivery of humour and satire on a totally banging jam. Without bias or favour, we think this talented act might be one of the most underrated artistes on the Nigerian music scene today.
He’s been constantly churning out bangs upon bangs such as Alomo Meta, Ibadan, Story Of My Life, Orijin and even though some might argue he delivers in Yoruba language, he’s definitely not the only singer who drops dope beats in an indigenous language on the scene.
Multi-talented producer, ANTRAS produced ‘Turn Up’ and this effort is already ruling social gatherings as it is the definition of a natural party-starter. Do you agree with our assessment of Qdot being underrated in comparison to the vibes he drops?
