Mr Cashtime had promised more music of his own this month of June after going on a streak of stunning collaborations in the past few months.
Many industry watchers will recall that K.O had promised more music in June after a run of stunning collaborations including features on such records as DJ Qness‘ “Starry Sky,” alongside Locnville; Ryki‘s “Money,” DJ Switch‘s “Son Of The Soil” with YoungstaCPT, and “Psychedelia“ of Young Swiss, just to mention a few.
“Been in the studio all year hence all these features that have been popping up. Switching things up in June though, have other artists featuring on my new work. Soon Come #SAHiphop ??” he Tweeted at the time.
He equally announced he was going to be getting features of other artists, then threw the challenge to fans to guess who these acts were going to be in the hopes of winning a Skhanda Republic merchandise.
Now, we know Cassper Nyovest made magic of “Waya Waya” while AKA equally set the pace on “Emoji.”
“Waya Waya” is simply one piece of SA Hip Hop history that many generations will get to learn about several decades and centuries from now.
K.O and Cassper Nyovest simply complimented each other fiercely on a tribal infusion that’s reminiscent of Kwesta and Cassper‘s record-breaking “Ngud.”
The only thing is times have changed and for their first collaboration ever, K.O and Cassper Nyovest might have birthed a classic with “Waya Waya.”
These are truly exciting times to be alive and witness and we’ve got a feeling the charts and trends will continually have a K.O presence, at least this season.
