Once DJ Cubic made his debut on Hitvibes in November with the banging spice titled “Last Dance,” we just predicted a lot for the beat-maker. Well, he looks to be making those predictions right with “Is’khathi.”
Again, he latches on those ferocious rain of never-ending drum beats and golden instrumentals to set the groove in motion.
However, the powerful vocals of Mandisa Kay simply brought a lot more to this record than just the frontiers and appreciation of production alone.
Those deep and sensational deliveries of the “Phul’umlenze” hitmaker just streams right into the depths of the musical mind and soul. Plus, its tribal and indigenous offering brings out the best of the Motherland that Mama African can be happy about.
DJ Cubic can also be proud of yet another missive as he targets the upper echelons of the industry.
The DJ and producer who is based in Tembisa, Gauteng province has let out other such songs as “Taylor’s Song,” “Ice Rain,” “Red Mountain,” “10 Yards,” “In The Forest,” “When I Am Sad” and many others.
DJ Cubic was born in Mozambique, but immigrated to South Africa at the age of 6, where he fell in love with music. He lists Kent, Cuebur, Da Capo, Problem Child and Culoes De Song as some of his influences.
He lets “Is’khathi” fly for free download with a DataFileHose link so you do not want to miss out on its heat.
