The season is all about American R&B diva, Beyoncé as she premieres “The Lion King: The Gift Album.” Off that body of work is the single titled “MY POWER,” alongside Moonchild Sanelly, Tierra Whack, Busiswa, DJ Lag, Yemi Alade and Nija.
With a world of accomplishments as one of the most celebrated artists of this century, Beyoncé simply raced to double accomplishments with the global release of the “Lion King” movie where she voices Nala.
However, she would also take things a step further in the mould of Kendrick Lamar’s “Black Panther Album” which was released as a compilation of the soundtrack of the “Black Panther” movie.
Yet, just like Kendrick Lamar’s work, Beyoncé also brought along several artists across board, countries, genres and continents to support her project.
Yet, Mzansi’s very own MoonChild Sanelly would go on to add the touch, glitter and sounds of the Motherland to “My Power;” making magic of a monstrous effort.
Especially since the “Weh Mameh” mastermind is known for her unique brand of offering as well as the special style of delivery.
Our very own Busiswa also makes the cut and you know these is just about flying the South African flag on a global stage as the collaborator-in-chief never disappoints.
With the big name acts making a statement on “MY POWER” the song needs no extended review that you just want to get lost in its musical beauty and bliss.
