Anytime, anyday, we know Aramide is always Bae. As we await her debut album, the Afrosoul singer delves towards a different pattern on a banging, melodious and totally humorous tune titled ‘Funmi Lowo’. She’s gone this one with Sir Dauda and they both totally rock.
‘Funmi Lowo’ which was set in a background that fuses the historical and culturally rich Yoruba language with English, is one where Aramide tables all her efforts, hard work, dedication and sacrifices and duly requests are dues and entitlements. ‘Funmi Lowo’ from Yoruba itself translates into ‘Give Me Money’ in English.
Sir Dauda also didn’t disappoint as he slayed on his verse. Also, kudos must be giving to producer, SizzlePRO who ensured the masterclass combination of tunes and instruments which made sure ‘Funmi Lowo’ was birthed a classic.
With the uniqueness of the street slangs on display such as “I don hustle this music pass Yoghurt and Gala”, we are sure this is going to dominate the airwaves and enjoy national anthem status for some weeks to come.
