Blaq Soul continues on his legacy on the Afro House circuit with a newly commissioned project that he titles “R.E.V.I.V.E.D” EP. In simple terms, the project of musical art is all that you need to polish the new year to soothing effect.
Blaq Soul whose real name is Nkanyiso Mhlongo was born and raised in KwaNdengezi, Durban and grew the passion for music at the age of 14 when he discovered the work of producers such as Osunlade, Manoo Kosi and Franck Roger.
In 2006, under their sonic influence, he started to produce his own music without any previous musical training whatsoever. It took him a year to become a Disc Jockey, and another year to launch his own label, Blaq Soul Music.
It has been from strength to strength on the circuit ever since 2009 when he started to share his music with the world. Asides from being one of the playmakers on Traxsource, he has been able to commission several exciting efforts.
Records such as “Awukhu Muzi,” “Dlondlwane Kandaba,” “Gone To Tzahiri,” “Lazy Drum,” “Africa Mamela,” “Izizwe,” “Great Song,” and several others readily come to mind.
This time, Blaq Soul is just about to solidify his intent for the new year and the “R.E.V.I.V.E.D” EP comes with 5-tracks of absolute musical paradise.
