Another posthumous song from XXXTENTACION is out and features rappers, Vybz Kartel, Stefflon Don and Ky-Mani Marley. The new song is likely to appear on the upcoming reissue of 2018’s “?”
Before his sudden death, rapper XXXTENTACION made a name for himself in the rap music industry. Appearing as the tenth pick on XXL‘s “2017 Freshman Class“, the late rapper followed it up with great releases while amassing a ton of loyal fans.
Since his death, pre-recorded music from the late rap guru has been released to world wide acclaim. Back in 2018, Ghost Busters was the first track released and featured rappers Trippie Redd, Quavo and Ski Mask the Slump God. The track was uploaded to Trippie Redd‘s SoundCloud and was followed by a few mixtapes.
With different artists including, Ugly God, Lil Peep, iLoveMakonnen and Kanye West releasing music that featured verses from the late rapper, his legacy has been firmly cemented. His posthumous album, Skins was released to commercial success, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 with 132,000 equivalent units.
The album’s number one debut made it his second time debuting at number one. The late rapper’s music has seen a lot of success even in his death and this has prompted more releases to fans who do not seem to have had enough of him.
The new posthumous track, Royalty is a reggae influenced hip hop song which features rappers in the same vein. The artists sing and rap underneath layers of beats with a reggae vibe.
The late rapper had previously announced the song months before his death and left fans wondering what happened with it. The seamless flow in the track is quite impressive to note. The L.A. Times reports that late rapper’s “?” is returning with a deluxe version, and the new song, Royalty will be on it.
