US-based Nigerian Record Label Says Davido Duped Them: Read Statement

A US-based Nigerian record label has accused DMW boss, Davido of fraud after it took to its Instagram handle to call out the singer and label leader for failing to honor an agreement they had.

According to the label, they paid Davido the sum of 4 million naira for him to collaborate with their artiste, TJay on a song but the “Fia” crooner had not only refused to honor the agreement by featuring their artiste, he had also rebuffed every attempt to get in touch with him.

The label further said that they had taken the matter to court but Davido had neither appeared in court nor sent any representative to appear for him. They concluded by asking him to either appear in court or send a representative so that the issue can be resolved.

The label will be looking to either get Davido and Tjay to collaborate on a song which was the original plan or at least, to get back their 4 million naira so they can find someone else to collaborate with.

This is not the first time Davido is getting called out this way. The last time, it was Kizz Daniel‘s former manager that did after the latter accused Davido of slapping him at his concert. Davido responded then and denied it ever happening. We didn’t get a hang of what later went down but Kizz Daniel parted ways with the manager.

Before then, a fan that was promised money, called out Davido for not fulfilling the promise, saying he even called Lati, one of those close to Davido but got no response. That episode even led to a song titled “Lati” being released. Davido is yet to respond to this but when he does, we will be sure to share here.
