American rapper, The Game’s music royalties have been seized to pay off a $7 million sexual assault court ruling.
According to an court order by a Los Angeles judge, royalties from all of The Game’s music and his record label will be diverted to Priscilla Rainey. Priscilla Rainey was a contestant on The Game‘s VH1 reality show ‘She’s Got Game‘. In 2015 she sued the rapper claiming he sexually assaulted her during the production of the series. In November 2016, a jury ruled in Priscilla’s favour granting her $7 million from the rapper.
The rapper shared a post on Instagram way back in 2016 claiming Rainey would not get a dime of his money. Here’s an excerpt from the post.
” Let’s get one thing very CLEAR: that thirsty Gatorade mascot of a transvestite WILL NEVER see $10,000,000 or anything close 2 a penny of my money. People think because they read a headline in BOLD PRINT it’s true. She won a judgement of 10 million $’s & that means that a judge because I’m overseas has given this chicken a chance 2 MAYBE be able to afford a lifetime supply of lace front hair glue if my lawyers don’t respond to this suit by the 26th of this month which they will do tomorrow am…. ”
Apparently, the rapper kept to his word and didn’t pay her a dime. Earlier in the year, Rainey who claimed the rapper still owes her $7,254,123.8 asked a judge to assign her all rights, royalties, etc to any money or payments owed to The Game.
Now, the rapper has been ordered to follow through with the ruling or be held in contempt if he didn’t.
