Veteran Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie drops new song, Lucky, featuring, Nigerian singer, Rudeboy.
Sarkodie is a thriller, everyone knows that. Rudeboy, well, he’s on a whole other level and his solo music proves this truth. Afro beats recorded a big miracle with the recent collaboration from these two, and the continent is truly pleased.
Funny enough, the official song photo for the new song sparked controversy last night when it was uploaded to Rudeboy‘s Instagram story. The photo which shows two naked black men, laying on a bed in what looked like a romantic embrace caused fans to question what both artists were selling. Rudeboy had to take down the photo but it still appears in the song’s official audio.
The track Lucky is truly a beautiful single by the two African stars. Sarkodie remains one of the most highly acclaimed rappers present in the continent and shows it off in the song. Lucky is the lead single from the Ghanaian emcee’s forthcoming album, Black Love. The new song would definitely bring much needed luck to the project’s release.
The song, produced by MOG Beatz is a well packaged afro beat single, with rap verses from Sarkodie and the hook and a verse sung by Rudeboy. The rapper quotes lines from Davido‘s big hit, Fia in the few English spoken lines he says.
Rudeboy delivers on the song’s hook, especially in the part where he says “D**n I’m Lucky”. The singer has seen massive success since going solo from his former group, P Square. He follows that success with this new collaboration which will definitely make a big impression on the charts, locally and internationally.
