After serving us his “GOAT” mixtape earlier this year, rapper, Plies is back with a new jam on which he goes freestyle on YK Osiris‘ “Worth It” and this remix is definitely worth it.
Plies has been somehow inconsistent for a while now, at least on the music front that involves releasing new songs. Before the “GOAT” mixtape was released earlier in the year, we had to wait a long time after he teamed up with Kodak Black and fans will be hoping he kicks on from here.
Algernod Lanier Washington known in music circles as Pliers used to play football in the university before he followed up on his love for music and started rapping. He’s been around for a long time too and founded Big Gates Record.
On this song, Plies has a message for the guys and the ladies as he raps: “Stop lettin’ broke n***as out here fuck on you/ They don’t want to do nothin’ but put stress on you.”
The song can easily pass for a message against domestic violence too. Plies has always been vocal about this, hence, he saw and opportunity to harp on that and took it as he went: “How you really think he love if he beatin’ on you?/ Can’t lean on him but he’ll lean on you.”
It’s not certain if Plies is back for good and if we should expect more from him this year but this new one from him is dope and we recommend listening.
