“Steel & Cooper” mastermind Burna Boy has responded to a claim by a fan that he left Nigerian women for the sake of his personal happiness. The fan, who goes by the Twitter handle @MrOkeke_, had tweeted: “LMAO. Burna Boy left Nigerian women and became happy.” The Twitter user was apparently implying that Burna Boy couldn’t be happy with a Nigeria woman.
But Burna Boy, who has waged a sporadic war against bleaching among Nigeria women and once rebuked Blac Chyna for coming to Nigeria to sell bleaching cream, denied this, stating love has nothing to do with country, while also acknowledging the amazing attributes of Nigerian women.
For those not in the loop, Burna Boy has a British girlfriend by name of Stefflon Don (real name Stephanie Victoria Allen). She is a rapper and singer (like Burna Boy himself) who became famous following the success of her single “Hurtin’ Me,” featuring French Montana.
Stefflon Don and Burna Boy met in Ghana. She had apparently missed her flight while on a trip to Ghana and opted to watch a show where the “On The Low” mastermind performed.
She gave details of their meeting, and how Burna Boy had said she would be his wife, in an interview with Power 105.1, a Los Angeles radio station
