Kanye West‘s Jesus Is King album may not be released this Friday as planned.
We know this is last minute but Kanye’s new album, Jesus is King may not drop this Friday as planned. We’re also as disappointed by the news as you are. We’ve been gearing to hear what kind of music the album would deliver based on the songs’ titles and theme. But it seems we all have to wait a little bit longer.
According to a new report by Variety, a source close to the situation made the reveal. According to the source, the project won’t be made available to streaming services on Friday, Sept. 27. Also, pop music reporter for The New York Times, Joe Ciscarelli has cited industry sources to say the album won’t be released this weekend despite the people trying to make it happen in Wyoming.
He tweeted “It’s Kanye so who knows but I’m hearing from many industry people that ‘Jesus Is King’ is not coming on Friday, despite people on the ground in Wyoming trying to make it happen……”
Surprising Ye’s wife, Kim Kardashian seems to have hinted at the album’s release recently. The beauty mogul retweeted a fan’s post on Twitter which showed Saint West with two fingers up showing the peace sign. The photo was captioned “2 more days Jesus Is King”. Recall it was Kim who announced the album’s release date last month and also revealed the 12-track tracklist.
While we can’t tell who to believe, let’s hope it’s merely a marketing strategy and keep our minds open.
