Kanye West to make a Kids See Ghosts sequel, Kid Cudi reveals.
If you’re part of the 1% who do not know what or who Kids See Ghosts is, we’ll help you. Simply put, it is the 2018 collaboration effort by a duo of the same name (composed of the aforementioned artists). The album was the debut studio album by the hip hop duo. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and was promoted by the tracks Reborn and 4th Dimension. Of course it was also executive-produced by both artists alongside other notable names.
In recent cover interview for Complex, Cudi revealed that a sequel to the album might be coming. He said;
“Kanye already told me he wants to start working on the second one. It’s kinda weird, ’cause with the first album, I didn’t know how serious he was about making a collab album with me. He had mentioned it, but I thought it was just a good idea he had in the moment. But then he kept bringing it up and kept having me come to his house, listen to music, and work on beats, so I was like, ‘Wow, he’s really into this.’ We had a discussion where he said he wanted to make a spiritual album and I told him, ‘Great. That’s what I do. I would love to do that, something I can sink my teeth into.’ So there will definitely be more.”
NME reports that the album was “one of five records that came of West’s 2018 ‘Wyoming sessions“. The rest include Ye, Pusha T‘s Daytona, Nas‘ Nasir, and Teyana Taylor‘s KTSE.
