Kanye West Takes “Sunday Service” To An Actual Church

Kanye West has taken his recent Coachella inspired “Sunday Service” to an actual church service.

If you ever thought Kanye’s weekly spiritual concert, Sunday Service would never actually make for an actual Sunday service, think again because it just did. Ye isn’t one to hold back in what he believes, if he says he’s coming to church on Sunday, and leading worship, expect him and a ton of worship leaders ready to tear the down with their live performances.

This weekend, Kanye West took Sunday Service to an actual gathering of like minds in a campus in North Hollywood. The iconic artist switched things up, donning the persona of a real life worship leader and led the congregation in the San Fernando valley to the peak of spiritually with the songs he sang.

A report by TMZ states that the rapper “joined forces with the California Worship Center this week, walking in around 11 AM PT and hosting a musical church service ’till about 2 PM.” According to them, it was quite a spectacle but not as much as his usual Sunday services but up to par.

Amazingly, some of the church goers included celebrities (mostly invited by the rapper). Reports state that Blac Chyna was spotted in the mix, alongside Tori Kelly, Gwen Stefani and Taylor’s other arch-nemesis Scooter Braun. People who attended the service have said it was an awesome one, quite comparable to his other services although not entirely the same.

Kanye was reportedly backed by a choir and a marching back, singing some famous gospel tunes by gospel artists including Tye Tribbett and Fred Hammond. He also did samples of Jay-Z‘s Lift Off and Snoop‘s Drop It Like It’s Hot.
