Kanye West drops freestyle at a church in Queens for this week’s Sunday Service.
It’s Kanye West season. It always is. The American rapper continues to delay his highly anticipated Jesus Is King album but still manages to keep fans satiated with his live performances.
On Sunday, Sept. 29, Ye hit New York as promised by his wife for his Jesus Is King experience. The rapper joined a church service at The Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York in Queens, New York where he praised God in known songs and freestyles. The Famous rapper was backed by a choir and live musicians during the lively service as the entire congregation sang along.
As the praises rose, the father of four broke into a freestyle session which was actually quite incredible. Of course the congregation approved. The rapper also gave a shootout to friend, Swizz Beatz who was also in the congregation along with fashion designer, Alexandra Wang, Akon and his wife, Kim Kardashian. TMZ reports.
The rapper previously announced that he would no longer make secular music. The announcement was shared by Andrew Barber, who heard the new album and saw the IMAX film and tweeted, “Just heard Kanye’s new album Jesus Is King and saw the accompanying film. My favorite track is the last song and it features the Clipse. Both Push & No Malice. Kenny G is also on it.”
He also revealed that the rapper announced he will no longer be making secular music and will focus on “only gospel from here on out”.
