Kanye West Covers “Sicko Mode” At Sunday Service, Watch!

Kanye West covers Sicko Mode by Travis Scott and Drake at Sunday Service.

Kanye West has for some time now been spreading his gospel at certain (no longer) exclusive locations in the United States to rave reviews from the services’ attendees.

Just last week, Kanye took Sunday Service to Dayton, Ohio presenting quite a laudable session. This week, the rapper brought the session to Watts, California, near his Calabasas home where he put a gospel spin on Travis Scott‘s Sicko Mode with Drake. Fan reactions to the cover have been massive with some saying the rapper did it as a reply to being dissed by Drizzy.

Ye‘s new album, Jesus Is King is expected to drop in a few weeks, on September 27. The new album was first teased by Kanye‘s wife Kim Kardashian on Aug. 29 when she shared the album’s title, the tracklist, and the release date. The titles of the songs on the new album suggest very blatant gospel themes but it still isn’t clear the direction Kanye will go on the album.

Ye once revealed back in 2018 that Chance the Rapper inspired his return to his gospel roots. He tweeted in December of last year,

“I need to speak about how Chance demanding that we record in Chicago reconnected me with my roots and also my faith in Jesus Christ”.  Prior to kicking off the Sunday Service sessions earlier this year, Ye also tweeted;

We will change the world. God is on my side. I am a Christian. I am a taxpayer. I am myself. God is with us.”
