Pop stars, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime show next year.
We are freaking out. Isn’t everyone? It’s an early miracle, a gift just before Christmas. Right when everyone seemed to be wondering about next year’s Super Bowl Halftime show the organisers get more creative.
Last year’s headlining act, Maroon 5 didn’t help matters. We’re not saying their performance was bad, we’re only saying it could have been way better. Now, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are coming to save the show. And we’re sure, that they’ll do.
It’s female power everywhere these days. Lopez made the reveal in a post on social media, as did Shakira. J Lo tweeted, “It’s happening” confirming the hush hush rumors that she’ll be headlining the Super Bowl Halftime show in 2020.
Both artists shared the date of the show, 02.02.2020 alongside a photo of them. In the photo, Shakira is seen wearing a gold Pepsi bicep cuff while J Lo has on a Pepsi ring and belt buckle.
Both Latin artists will join other Latin performers who have also hit the show’s stage including Gloria Estefan (in ’92, ’99, and ’95 as part of Miami Sound Machine), and Enrique Iglesias in 2000.
Next year’s show promises to be everything. Both artists are known to bring their A-game to the stage. With hits including Whenever Wherever, Get Right, I’m Into You, Hips Don’t Lie, etc. The show is definitely going to bring back the right memories.
By the way, the internet has been freaking out since the news broke.
