Dreamville – Down Bad

As fans continue to prepare for the release of the highly anticipated “Revenge of the Dreamers III” project by Dreamville Records, the label comes throguh with a song titled “Down Bad” and it is hot.

The new song has label leader, Cole, J.I.D, Bas and EarthGang with Young Nudy coming on board as a featured guest in a song that packs a lot of energy that makes it a must-hear. If the presence of Cole on the song is not enough motivation, the lyrics of the song is definitely one of the motivations for listening.

It was like a musical coup of some sorts when 24 hours before the songs were released, all artistes involved with Dreamville changed their dp on social media. The coup materialised soon enough in the form of two new songs, one of which is “Down Bad” that we are now sampling and which we love.

J. Cole himself had already tweeted his thanks earlier, saying that the project was done and all that was left was to complete it and let the world hear it. Well, “Down Bad” which by the way had already been performed by J.I.D is one of those songs and we love it.

Memorable lines in the song are: “Okay, lil’ dirty, nappy-headed East Atlanta ng*ga/Father said that I was a force/.44, Hank Aaron chrome
When I make it home, then get out the Porsche/Let a n*gga cover FADER ‘fore I have to fade a n*gga at the FADER Fort/It’s tomato or tomato, either way, the boy the greatest.”

We recommend listening and feel free to share your comments in the comments section.
