Davido x Chris Brown’s “Blow My Mind” Is A Pop Grenade

Davido and Chris Brown finally release their joint collaborative single, Blow My Mind and it’s a smash.

In an era where it seems pretty easy to not only collaborate with foreign artist but also build a great business relationship with them, Nigerian artists have outdone themselves with recent collabos. Afro pop singer, David ‘Davido‘ Adeleke is no stranger to working with international acts. In fact, they seem more than happy to be featured by him or in most cases lately, feature him on their songs.

Over the course of some days, both Davido and American pop singer, Chris Brown teased a new collaborative single, Blow My Mind. The whole of Africa stood still and awaited its coming. If they were Santa, we’re sure they wouldn’t find anyone on their naughty list. We’d all be like, we’ve been good Santa, bless us already.

Now, the wait is over, the song was released a few hours ago. If you didn’t know, where have you been?

We’d all agree that Breezy sounds incredible on afro beat tunes. The new track is an undeniable banger, straight up from Davido‘s verse to the part where Chris sings in pidgin. But something stood out the most in the song, (No, not the instrumental, which was incredible by the way), the fact that Davido sounded like Wurld from the beginning of the song. Haha. Gotcha.

Rumor has it that the song was written by the ‘Contagious‘ singer although no one has confirmed it yet. We don’t mind, we still love it.

Blow My Mind is an Afro pop / American Pop song which talks about the beauty of a woman. In their own words, she blows their minds. The track is produced by popular Nigerian producer, Shizzi and has great potential to appear on the US chart, and we hope it does.

By the way, fan reactions to the song has been massive, with one tweeting;

This jam na original. Baba made Chris to speak pidgin #KingDavido.” @Mr_Sultan
