The Haim sisters revealed that the new song was inspired by records like Imani Coppola’s 1997 ‘Chupacabra’ and Quad City DJ’s 1996 ‘Get On Up And Dance’. The new hit ‘Warm‘ sees Charli, Danielle, Este, and Alana Haim each questioning their crush, wondering if the romance is worth the risk.
“So you gotta tell me the reason / Why we can’t fall in love / You gotta tell me the reason / Why you won’t open up,” – they sing on the chorus.
A. G. Cook, who produced the new song ‘Warm,’ also executive produced XCX’s upcoming album, ‘Charli’. The project features previously released singles like ‘Gone’ in collaboration with Christine and the Queens, and ‘Cross You Out’ with Sky Ferreira, It is scheduled to drop on September 13.
Describing the upcoming album in a recent chat with NME, Charli says the record is “experimental”, and that she is really proud of the project.
“I didn’t go small on this. Since the mixtapes [2017’s ‘Number 1 Angel‘ and ‘Pop 2‘], I’ve really wanted to push my sound and push pop as far as it can go. I feel really proud of the music that I’ve made, so I really want the songs to have as much of a moment individually as possible.” – she said.
