Rapper, Chance The Rapper has gone on Twitter to post a thread that’s worrisome and cryptic about some people wanting him to feel ashamed.
At first read, it felt like maybe he was under a strain or was having a meltdown or worse, depressed, but he was quick to clear the air on that too, saying he does not want to kill himself and that he loves his wife.
On another note though, his “The Big Day” album has been getting knocked a lot because according to most people, it didn’t live up to the hype and some even believe he didn’t really put much effort into it. That could be why he is now having a meltdown.
He started the thread with: “I’m getting this crazy feeling that people want me to kill myself “ and while people were still wondering what was going on, he dropped the second tweet that read: “And I feel like even more than that, some people want me to feel ashamed.”
Fans were beginning to get a hang of what was going on and some took time to let him know that they had no problems with him, rather the problem was with the album and how he needed to do better and release a new album to which he responded that he had no albums left to release.
He did clarify though that he had no plans to kill himself when he tweeted: “I just want to reiterate that I don’t want to kill myself, nor am I ashamed of loving my wife. I think I just wanted to say out loud that I see the vibes “
Despite the criticisms though, his album narrowly missed the no 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart which he lost to Christian rappers, NF‘s “Perception” project.
