The teaser for Netflix‘s Rhythm + Flow shows rappers, Chance The Rapper, Cardi B, and T.I as hip hop talent scouts and judges.
After announcing in November last year that rappers Chance The Rapper, Cardi B and T.I had been tappex to scout Hip Hop’s next biggest sensation, Netflix is set to release the show pretty soon. A teaser recently released in anticipation for the new show sees the rappers taking on scouting and Judging duties.
Chano is heard stating “creativity doesn’t have blueprints,” while Cardi says “it’s gonna be litty like a f*cking city.” The upcoming series would reportedly contain 10 episodes which will begin airing on October 9. It would see the judges traveling across the United States, through Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City to “search for the next hip-hop sensation“. The show will also see the judges recruit and “help undiscovered artists pursue their come up”.
The Rhythm + Flow‘s 10 episodes will unfold in just 3 weeks with the first four episodes being released on Oct. 9. The four episodes will show the audition process across Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Atlanta. Three more episodes will be released on Oct. 16 and these will feature rap battles, cyphers, and music videos.
Focusing on samples, collaborations, and declaring “the next hip-hop sensation” the final three episodes will be released on Oct. 23.
Rhythm + Flow is Netflix‘s first official music auditioning TV program. John Legend also shared the show’s teaser writing;
“We are on a mission to find the best undiscovered rap talent! So excited to present our newest production @rhythmandflownetflix featuring @iamcardib, @chancetherapper and @troubleman31! Watch weekly starting Oct 9 on @netflix!”
