Lil Wayne gets gifted a blunt on stage by Blink-182 for his birthday.
For a while now, American music acts, Lil Wayne and Blink-182 have been on the road co-headlining their North American tour together. They wrapped up the tour with a final show in Brooklyn on Sunday.
Wayne reportedly got a dope gift from the rock band on the last night of the tour for his upcoming birthday on Sept. 27. A little into the rapper’s set, the band halted the show, walked up the stage, and presented him a gift for his 37th birthday. A blunt. Yeah, you heard that right.
According to reports, it was presented on a silver platter. Collecting it, Wizzy said of the band’s members (Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Matt Skiba) “My f**king brothers for life”.
The unforeseen merging of shows between Tunechi and the rock band has been great to see. Their North American tour kicked off in June and ended with a final show on Sunday in Brooklyn.
In other news, Wizzy has been on the headlines for his recent cancelling of shows. The rapper was reportedly a no show for his set at the Life Is Beautiful festival on Saturday night in downtown Las Vegas. The announcement was made 10 minutes into the show by the festival’s organisers to the crowd of fans who had attended the rapper’s set.
Rap-Up reports that his Young Mula, Baby intro had played after which a message appeared on screen “Unfortunately, Lil Wayne will not be able to perform tonight. Sorry for any inconvenience.”
