Beyoncé preaches skin love on “Brown Skin Girl” featuring Wizkid, Saint Jhn and Blue Ivy

Beyoncé‘s Brown Skin Girl advocates for skin colour love and features, Nigeria’s Wizkid, SAINT JHN and daughter, Blue Ivy.

American pop star Beyoncé literally knows it all when it comes to creating an award winning album. Known for all her critically acclaimed albums, the multi Grammy winner brings the world a beautiful body of work in the form of The Gift.

In the entire album, one song seems to outshine the rest, and the whole world very well testifies to this obvious fact. The track, Brown Skin Girl features Nigeria’s Wizkid, NY based songwriter, SAINT JHN, and Beyoncé‘s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

Brown Skin Girl is not just an anthem for the coloured skinned girl but also a portrait in her honour.

The very powerful and soothing song features rhythmic hand claps from songwriter, SAINT JHN, which is all he does in the entire song. I mean, who wouldn’t kill to do that on a Beyoncé track??

Nigerian afro pop singer, Wizkid, famous for his feature on Canadian rapper, Drake‘s chart topper, One Dance also features on the song. The African singer brings his well known Caribbean vibe to the song and it’s a perfect fit. Wizkid pulls his own weight on the entire song and jams with Bey who blends with his vibe.

Brown Skin girl is a song to celebrate women with brown skin. The song openly sites skin tones of famous female celebrities, Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o and Kelly Rowland and features vocals from Blue Ivy Carter.

The track has been lauded in all of Africa and the world for its beautiful message. Beyoncé earns a big one with this, and it sure is going to stick around for years to come.
