Ariana Grande has now released the live cover of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”; the last song which she performed at the One Love Manchester benefit concert. The concert was planned as a triumph over the evil of terror which rocked Manchester Arena following a performance by the American singer, as well as raise money for the victims.
Many global music acts were on hand to perform at the benefit concert including Coldplay, Liam Gallagher, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Black Eyed Peas, and Mac Miller. However, Ariana Grande closed the event with the powerful rendition of the Judy Garland classic.
It is safe to say there weren’t many dry eyes left at the sold-out concert which took place at Manchester’s 50,000 capacity Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground. Now, Ariana Grande has released the cover of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, with the proceeds going to further support victims of the senseless attack.
The world rallied around Manchester with over £12 million raised and which will go to the British Red Cross’s We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
Ariana Grande‘s “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” cover is simply emotional, powerful, soulful, deep and it streams right into the depths of the heart and soul. This performance reinforces faith and belief in humanity and together, we will overcome!
